Great minds think alike and weird timing! From what GS said it doesn't seem to be a knock-off. I was more curious to see to what he thought of it as it needed movement to detect, unlike the pro-pointer that speeds up sound and vibration when you get closer to the target.

def not a knock off, and i wouldnt say it is as good or better than a pro pointer but it does work saves me time searching for the item im digging up if you press to hard with it sideways against the ground it does false vibrate so as long as you are kinda not rough with it it will work :) i have no complaints about it really ill buy a pro pointer to eventually just to have both :)

I do not support anyone who defames a persons business without first getting their facts straight -

Now tell me what the problem is with 'parallel imports'?

We have heard your opinion on fake, counterfiet etc as being a crime, but I also believe a company knowingly selling faulty equipment is no better than these law breakers you speak of -

As you have stated yourself - You picked up the Fisher NZ Dealership because you wanted to help other people obtain metal detecting equipment at reasonable prices - no duifferent to what people are doing on trademe - So why are we singling out one parallel importer who clearly IS NOT putting wankers money on their goods?

you think the same way i do mate :) everything you said is so fkn true

Hey, that looks like something I said... not sure i want to read all the way back to where it came from but consider this; people fairly regularly ask me to prove that the detectors I sell are legitimate and as far as I am concerned that is a fair question. So I really don't have a problem with someone else being asked the same thing. If you are quite happy to spend money and then sort out the details later that is your propagative, but most people like to get things in order beforehand.

most people like something that is cheaper rather than the same thing from a shop merchant at a inflated price :)

I would have to agree with that. The exception being if I want some professional service. For example I am a particularly pathetic fly fisherman so when on the odd occasion I have had the urge to go fishing I have gone to a specialty shop. It does cost more, but the expertise and good advice is worth the extra money. But as you said, if I know what I want I try and find it as cheap as possible.

the expertise & good advice are all available on the internet

I have been sitting here for about 5 minutes trying to think of how to respond to this... don't think I will even try... carry on then!
