New Service Idea - Permit Watch

I've been playing with an idea for a while, kind of an extension to the permit map...

I'm thinking of creating a "Permit Watch" service where you can subscribe to get emails relating to gold permits:
  • Get alerted about new claims in specific areas
  • Get alerted when claims expire
  • Get alerted when a claim changes
  • etc.


Would anyone be interested in such a service? Anything you'd like to see on such a service? Would you be willing to pay a small subscription fee for alerts from such a service (as processes involved will likely cost some extra computer power, 3rd party email service, etc.)?

Any thoughts?

As a by-product I'd probably put in place a automated process to update the existing permit map daily.

Cheers guys - much appreciated. Still a bit thin on number though so not sounding as useful as I thought it might be so far. But I guess most people here are more hobby prospectors so that's understandable. I may have to reach a bit further to work out if the service will be economical ;)

Could we please get a silver price chart put on the website? I'm looking at getting into investing in that and there are other paydirters out there who also purchase silver as well. I know there won't be a huge following for the idea, but can still be useful for others. I know there are links to other sites that have this, it's just more convenient to have them on the same site.

Unfortunately the service I use to show the gold price doesn't have a silver price option. If I find a nice service that can provide both metals I'll add it in ;)
