Nice big silver Micky.
However I think you mean a "Straight".
Well that's according to Wiki anyway.

Sure beats the silver Aussie 3p I managed this weekend. :-)

3 hunt roundup.

silver watch cover, no hallmarks.
from kauri mill site, abandoned 1880's .

a lead sprat.

two locket thingies, one came open to reveal paper mush.
maybe some love token. was that a thing?

brass hair clip.

silver bracelet badly soldered to copper bracelet.
looks like some metalwork assignment.
copper and silver, a modern thing?

one clay marble.
at long last.
no sign of the bottle it came out of.

good luck every-one.

Nice finds, I haven't been out hunting with my Deus for ages Mickey, looking forward to it though. The old church site I used to hunt is now in private ownership with no trespassing signs on it but still pleased with the coins I found including a penny from the year the church was built, 1875.

You've got a great never to be found again keeper there that's for sure. You must have been happy when you pulled that from the hole, it looks to be in pretty good shape as well, nice old coins/token well done

That's a nice Florin! I just checked them out on the net as all I could see was .....one-shilling, but it looked too big against the 3d. I see some of there older shillings had a similar design as your florin.
Nice one.
