Spotted a mine that comes out on the creek I fossick now and again.Its the only point you can get to the creek for about 2 k either way...Is it worth a go or considering the location will it have been hammered by every man and his dog?
Also if the old timers stopped about 150 years ago how much gold will have washed into the creek in that time?Or am I just looking for stuff they missed?

Hi JW.Thought as much re stuff they missed-will just have to look harder! Off 2 detect in some tailings over the next few days so we'll see how that goes...

Back from the boonies... Lugged my old Minelab up the track to the mine tailings.No gold but some interesting little bits and pieces from the workings including an old boot!Did manage to get down to the creek though-looks goldy and nobody has been there for a hundred years.Have to rig up rope access and have a crack...
