This is probably the most sophisticated sluice box on the New Zealand market. It is built for high production sluicing for gold.

The material used is light weight aluminium. Sides are 2mm thick. Rivets are stainless, latches, bolts and wing nuts are zinc plated. A Computerised (CAD) laser cutting process and final hand assembly guarantee unsurpassed quality.

The top of the sluice starts with a 34 cm wide flare. A wide flare helps direct more water through the sluice and helps in flow control.

This is followed by 2 sections of deep V ribbed rubber matting for quick inspection and sampling. If you're not seeing gold periodically settle in your ribbed matting, dig somewhere else. The gold may eventually wash down behind your riffles, but the matting helps in at-a-glance sampling.

Next comes the main entry riffle with a big trapping volume behind. This area will catch the bulk of your gold. After the second riffle which is part of the cleverly hinged riffle tray the material will run over a layer of expanded metal (aluminium) and the best available matting (spaghetti) on the market. At the end the tray forms another riffle to guarantee a high recovery rate.

The rugged quick release latches make clean up a breeze! Just release the latches, lift the tray, slide the carpet into your tub and rinse the box.

For easier transportation the flare can easily be detached and the box will fit neatly into your backpack.

Kit Set Option
If you're purchasing the cheaper non-assembled kit set: All rubber matting, rivets, nuts and bolts are included in the kit. What is not included is the glue or silicon needed to attach the rubber matting to the sluice.
