Dealing with the mail/customs at the moment.
They are most backwards outfit you could hope to come across. Much prefer dealing with FEDEX than general mail. Fedex actually want to deliver parcels rather than ship them from department to department while someone posts a friggin letter to you with the essential number that you need to call through. Somehow that is more efficient than someone picking up a phone and taking credit card payment in the initial instance (like Fedex do).

Hmmm very interesting thread, I sold my unloved Minelab Eureka on Trade me about 5 months ago and had a guy from Canterbury making negative comments on the price, saying he could import a new one for less - when I challenged him to provide details to back up his claims ... no reply.
I sold it with no probs to a local buyer, who seemed happy to get it for less than half the local agents price.

Just a few weeks later I found a tidy Gold Bug Pro on Trade Me, It represented great buying to me, with the extra coil and a Garret Pro Pointer, no headphones though. Didn't notice any rude comments on the add, and I think I bought it using the buy now option. It came from Blenhiem, and the guy who sold it to me seemed a nice and helpful sort of chap.
I'm happy as with the detector, and plan to keep it long term, and hopefully get out with it a bit more.

Yes you can certainly get a good buy off turdme these days as well as put a smile on peoples dials when selling too -

I just cannot fathom why people in this hobby actually go out of their way to try to shite on people auctions without doing their homework - it tells a lot more about them - but even if they did know what they were blithering about there is no need whatsoever to post negative rubbish on someones auction .............. Go figure :)

Anyways........

Hows that GoldBug Pro working out for you Nuggy?

Have you prospected with it yet?

I had an F2 which I miss dearly (coin shooting) but hopefully I will work my way up to a GB Pro (when the missus isn't watching lol)-

Happy hunting

Etrac & Excal

Geez bro you have the best of both worlds

Hey, sorry bout jumping the gun on your Etrac buy - it did end up a fantastic buy afterall, so my bad for shooting my mouth off ..............

Do you think it would be a good idea if we could add a signature or something at the bottom of our posts that let other members know what type of gear we run?

It may just help those who are looking at purchasing new detectors by asking members who use the same gear?

Just a thought ............

I currently have an AT Pro - GoldBug (orig) - waiting on a Omega 8000 -

just trying to cover as many bases as I can on a budget

like I mentioned b4 .................. you have got it covered at the very top, well done

Happy Hunting DrunkBro - I enjoy your vids

The problem with signatures detailing what gear you have is that if someone searches on google for information on a particular item, all your posts show up in the results, even the ones not about that item.

I strike the same thing when hunting for information on repairing a certain car. You end up with screeds and screed of results from these car forum wankers that list the 10 different cars they have - with all the modifications listed as well - on the bottom of every damn post. Gaaaaaaa.

Hi Sycotoad, Not getting out with it at all - just too busy, and every time I get a chance to get out it pisses down. Have been struggling trying to use in disc mode in the backyard, as I would like to be able to find coins etc - not really getting the hang of that yet, Techno-dummy.
I think it will be easy to use for me in all metal mode as I had GB2 for a few years, just need to get out and do it. NUGGY

thanks for that - definitely something I had not considered

what do you guys suggest would be the best way for us all to share information on the units we have used, using or the units we are looking to buy?

I just think there is fast becoming a good base of swingers here in NZ & the information they hold or are currently learning is invaluable to all enthusiasts

Yep. Start a thread on each detector available, with it's specs in the first post, and all members with that detector can chime in underneath.
