Amazing how you manage to sniff out those new spots mate. Just goes to show the importance of research in the whole hunting scenario.
Love the brooch and the wee Ceylon coin mate....great stuff.

Awesome day out with no8wire and Chrispy at a new spot, its really hard going, and I'm still sore from all the bush whacking and climbing steep terrains, but after all that I did manage 14 Silver coins, a silver handle off something, a GOLD ring and a 9ct LND gold plated locket.

Nicely done indeed, any idea what the cage type object is off (top pic above the 'gold' ring?) I found something similar a while ago.

Nice wee brooch, no not quite to that extreme, although some areas a rope would have been handy.
Here a couple of pics, first photo is an historic one of Corsiar Bay which was spot X which has since been cleaned out hee hee, they used to camp all around the bay on the banks, and where the boat is was used for swimming races and the bay was also used every year I think since about 1901 for boating regattas, and the best place to view a boat race is on a hill, otherwise it would be a bit hard to see who's winning, didn't have TV back then lol.
second is another spot which shows the type of cliffs and bush we had to fight through, there were little plateaus where people used to sit, and remembering back then there was very little or no bush, this area was not as popular but cleaned that out also, just for those who might take a visit.

Here's my finds form last nights club hunt, No silver coins which is quite odd, maybe my coil has a mind of his own and is thinking "No silver coins for you tonight..But I will let you have a silver pocket watch...oh and another pocket watch to make your night interesting ".
I gratefully thanked my detector and went home.

Two pocket watches...... Nice. It must have been a sad day realising you had lost one of those back then. It would be awesome to find a semi minter, but near on impossible I'm guessing unless it was well protected from the elements.
