Heya all,

I've just checked and Air NZ has A LOT of specials like 700$return to Tahiti and many other destinations.
I think i might go for a week somewhere and see if i can recover enough rings to cover flight cost :-)

Not going to Tahiti.
Checked all cheapest hotels/resorts and Food Prices. even with 750 return, it will be 4000-5000NZ for both of us for a week there.
Eh... lets check other specials....

My brother who spent much time in Korea reckons that a metal detectorist would clean up in South Korean beaches! He doubts Koreans would metal detect as it would be seen to be too public a thing to do. So the beaches would be crammed silly with lost jewellery and coins! Something to think about. Mind you the police might arrest you thinking that you are some kind of North korean spy!

Customs on Rarotonga, Cook Islands have advised that i will need to declare your metal detector and if you will be bringing this in for temporary use you will be charged VAT of 12.5% on the value of the goods. When i return to NZ- provide your documents back to Customs and they will refund the amount charged.

Cool!I am so excited!
