Does anyone know if there is a south island dealer which sells 6" or 8"coils for the xterra 70 and what would be the best for finding small nuggets. eg (dd) etc

Hi kaden07, I have never used an Xterra personally, but this guyhttp://www.trademe.co.nz/Member...ings.aspx?member=2185467
Has the South Island dealership thing for Minelab. Can you get mono coils for the Xterra? Monos are more sensitive to the small stuff than DDs, but around power lines and areas where there is a lot of EMI, or hot ground, then a DD is the go. Most NZ ground is very quiet, so a mono would be best used in most cases. (If you can get them)
As to 8" or 6", Again I have used neither, but, I would say that although the 6" would be very good for hunting small nuggets, I would get an 8" just for the sole fact that you aren't going to be able to cover much ground with a 6" as your all-round coil.
You might want to check out this site too http://www.findmall.com/list.php?55
