Nothing annoys me more than other people on Trade Me selling gold equipment dropping by my auctions making smart @ss comments about the price I am selling things at. Still, their loss, as I teamed up with their other competition to buy stock from.

You will often get people wanting to be trademe nazis about prices and other things, just blacklist them and forget. Hope it goes well.

The auction system requires a motivated seller and a willing buyer. If there is any issue good or bad it can be taken care of with the price. It might be worth more or less. I was pretty unimpressed with comments on your auction. He sounds nasty. There can be a difference between an emotional value and a sale price. I have paid more than new price on occasion but it is unusual. In the past I have sold in excess of 2000 cars. I treat buying like business to assist in making the best decisions. But hey if the better half wants that bit of jewellery it what price can you put on peace. Managed 30 + years so far. Good luck with your auction. Cheers Mike.

Richie.
