I know how you feel DB.
Nothing annoys me more than other people on Trade Me selling gold equipment dropping by my auctions making smart @ss comments about the price I am selling things at. Still, their loss, as I teamed up with their other competition to buy stock from.

Dont remove the listing as most people bid at the last minute to avoid knocking the price up and hoping others will forget to bid. You will often get people wanting to be trademe nazis about prices and other things, just blacklist them and forget. Hope it goes well.

Hi Max.
The auction system requires a motivated seller and a willing buyer. If there is any issue good or bad it can be taken care of with the price. It might be worth more or less. I was pretty unimpressed with comments on your auction. He sounds nasty. There can be a difference between an emotional value and a sale price. I have paid more than new price on occasion but it is unusual. In the past I have sold in excess of 2000 cars. I treat buying like business to assist in making the best decisions. But hey if the better half wants that bit of jewellery it what price can you put on peace. Managed 30 + years so far.

Good luck with your auction. Cheers Mike.

Good Morning Max,

As I have stated Similar Fashion you did however list web sites and pricing which as you can see by comments made by other members here to be very disturbing for that I am sorry as I myself do not make a habit of posting questions of this nature, as with your reaction given you are as annoyed as myself at the time I too had to pull my auction and later sold on at a fixed price offer, its very hard to try and recover invested monies put into our toys we buy and know if you focus on what people may wish to pay you will move it on at a reasonable price that yourself and buyer will be more than happy with, my thoughts would be between 6 and 7 hundy plus postage given new pricing, others here may be able to help you with their views also, wish you all the best.

Richie.

So let me get this right - Because two buyers decide to purchase top quality used F2's from trademe, they are now fools?

I think not - The fool IMO is the OP who says they do ALL their homework regarding pricing secondhand detectors, yet pays TOP AUS dollar for a used ETrac + GST on customs & shipping...............

Now stirs up a hornets nest because no-one will purchase an overpriced GoldBug

My Gosh - goodluck to those fools at trademe eh?

I have my suspicions but wont say in case i'm wrong.

I know who "kkcreep" is - have dealt with him over a trademe deal ages ago

nice guy & he doesn't know it, but it was him that got me addicted to metal detecting

Good one Max.
Be interesting to see if the E Trac still has the Aussies discrimination patterns on board.
