Hello everyone, been reading the forums a bit and done alot of looking into gold in nz as it seems to really interest me :D unfortunately being in Auckland and in the north island doesn't give me much chance to do anything :( However i have taken apart some Large Quartz rocks (in our garden my father brought a long time ago) and found some interesting pyrite and tiny flower gold (yay and nay), also tested some other areas and found some TINY flecks but nothing worth while. I am still learning even tho im limited up here because i really want to get into finding gold :D Anyways im interested to keep learning and meeting some others from around the country :D hopefully going to start taking some trips to the south island soon to really give it a go :D (would be nice if someone down there would be wanting to teach a young fella) :)

Welcome to this here forum - if you are down here in the deep south you might like to look me up and I have a place where you can have free board and lodging for a night or two or more should you so desire - the weather at my place is inclement, undesirable, wet, miserable, foreboding and dismal mostly when others go there but you might or might not find a bit of gold.

In any case when you get your passport to visit the South Island and decide to come down then give me a yell - Take Kiwikeiths offer up to - I know him and hes a grand chap.

I have recently had a lot change up here, I have a bit of savings and was thinking about coming down there for a bit to see what its really like and how its done.. I would be very interested to come and work with some one on there claim down there if they would be willing to have me and teach me how its done. (and let me keep some gold :P) I would like to go down there my self but i am unsure where to start and would really appreciate it if anyone wanted to help me out or even talk about it :D

Hi Im going to head to Thames for a Gold mission not to sure when, but this was a place Gold was found, I know is not a public area but the rivers are long and some old tailings around, I hunt mostly on the Shore/Town beaches hit me back some time for a catch up.
Lets make a plan to get some colour
