HI all,

so decided to share cost of buying a second hand etrac
A got standard etrac pack +2 extra coilteck coils worth 300-500$ for following:
Buy wanted 1200 AUD +70 AUD shipping
That was exactly 1700 NZD after conversion
+ i had to pay 275$ GST + MAF+ processing fee
So all around 1975$

Some of you will say too much, but those who already tried to buy Minalb overseas would know following:
Dealers do not ship outside designated region (usa, australia etc.)

I will Run for this season and then will sell in order to upgrade to CTX3030 (maybe not sure if actually need 3030)

Stay tuned for all new finds :-)

Sounds about right. I had to pay a similar price for my Excalibur.

Personally I wouldn't worry about the 3030. With an Etrac and an Excal you have the bases covered with top line minelab machines - the 3030 maybe a combination of the two but doubt it is advanced enough to update. Just use these machines for a year or 2 and then the next advancement in detectors would have come out and the jump will be worthwhile - and maybe caught up to Whites! :).

Good luck with it!

Isn't it a bugger having to wait for the battery to charge up before you can have a play......

I use a car charger so after driving to work each day by the weekend it is fully charged again.

Although this doesn't help while you are waiting for your first go eh.

Absolute Bargain ................

As for purchasing from a dealer, I prefer the alternative .................

Pre-loved from the US as many Etrac owners are letting theirs go to upgrade to the 3030 (bargains galore)

Still a very nice package indeed DB -

Happy Hunting

Wow that's great news,, I would love an E-trac. I was checking E-bay but some of them seem a bit munted or they really cant be bothered with the naff all effort of shipping it to locations outside the "states".
Was tempted by the Kellyco "bogo" deal. ((Get one free or,, really cheap..)) Sell the free-bee to off set costs.
Till I see a groove deal I'll just keep using my F 75 & At-pro which are netting me some great catches anyhow :)

Have fun with the E-trac.
