i will be heading down south in february as well, for about 2 weeks, hope all this good weather holds. they are predicting a long hot dry summer i think, fingers crossed. not sure where yet still planning that.

Looks like I am hanging around the Coromandel but heading down south in early feb for 10 days detecting & maybe a bit of a scratch around in a few creeks with the crevicing gear. Wont be dredging as I will be flying down so need to travel lightish.
Havnt been out golding for weeks now. I can feel withdrawls kicking in. Need a fix.

Soooooo piles and heaps need to be moved
this needs to be donefor detectors to use

there are few spots down hway 65 that i have been meaning to have a look, a guy i know lives in maruia so will have a swing somewhere there for a few days and then down to queenie, what about yourself?

Was planning a trip to the Aorere, but now heading to Oamaru (Dansey's Pass) ... Feb / Mar sometime.

Going to stay with my dad (cheap accom) & only 40km drive to the river.

My 3 year old is already bitten ... he keeps reminding Pape (my dad), to go to the river & get more gold.

I'm trying to imagine what he will be like after doing some for himself.

Merry Xmas all, I'm finally back in NZ in late January, Hope to catch up with you JW in Coromandel before you head South... my sister's family is on a farm there. I then plan start a fossicking trip down to the South Island/ west coast for a bit... before getting down to Queenstown in autumn.
Would be good to catch up with some of the regulars here.
