Is it true that nuggets tend to be worth more than their equivalent weight in fine gold because of their relative rarity?

Yeah, and the bigger the nugget, the more expensive it becomes, as a collectors item. New Zealand nuggets above 10 grams are quite a bit rarer than say a 10 grammer from Aus, so they'll fetch a premium above gold price. Selling large nuggets would be a nice problem to have LOL. :)
