a very interesting video. i have often gone down the maori point track and looked over the river at the suction dredge - now i know a bit more about it!
once i found a small nugget just lying there by my feet. same trip my mate got a small one from under a tussock. as always we searched high and low for more, and as it often seems with the more nuggety gold down here, nothing else at all. a pretty picked over area tho.
