Hi guys, Headed out after work last night with the 4500 & joey mono. Only got two little blighters. One at .11 of a gram & the other .26 of a gram.
Tonight I changed the coil back to the 11" commander mono & snagged 3 with one being the biggest I have found for a while. 3.36 grams. I was so sure that the signal was going to be rubbish as it was such a loud sharp in your face signal. There wasnt any bed rock & as I got down about 10" there was still no bed rock & the signal was screaming. Just lose gravel wash........& then one more scrape & the target was out. No way I thought was this going to be gold. I came so close to stop digging for it....I really did. But that little voice in my head told me to make sure. Damn glad I did. Couldnt believe it was a 3.36 gram slug of the good stuff. You beauty.

Total for the two nights. 5 for 4.2 grams

Good luck out there

That's a real beauty JW, good to see evidence that there are still some good sized ones out there.
Thanks for sharing - NUGGY

LOL, well done John, and I thought M.R. had completely done that spot, shows that no one can get it all.

Finding any gold makes my day, but the bigger nuggets really make it an awesome day. Love how much you're finding out there. Wish I'd got in to gold hunting while living in Queenstown!!
