Question: Which popular 1960's instrumental band played a song with the folowing lyrics in it.

I'm confused too, but the first 1960s instrumental band that comes to mind is The Shadows.

A friday nite post

Wow, didnt realise i had 1000 posts, wasnt paying attention. Just as well as this post may have been over the top!
Anyhows, i have given the correct info for the question. If you know the anwser and have a copy already, hold of and let someone who does not have one win.
I shall go and hunt up a suitable pic for the occasion.

Cheers

[bTough question][/b]

Thats because you cant surf the net for the anwser, ive tried.
Some instrumental bands sung many a song including The Shadows and along with Cliff, i dont recall The Ventures singing much if at all.
Help you all along a bit, its a 1964. The flipside of the single was Theme For Young Lovers.

...she feels like GOLD

You moved the goalposts after the kick was taken. Originally you only asked for the name of the band, but when people started naming bands you said you required the name of the song as well.

Refer to Creamer's first post and you will see he does ask for both the band and the song.

Closest I ever got to Cliff Richard was via The Young Ones so I'm out of this comp! :)

They speak another language sometimes that's for sure.
This is what I found

Cliff
noun
a high steep face of a rock.

Why is Dick Short for Richard?
Around the 13th century, people start calling people named Richard the name Rick. Hick and dick were two nicknames used for Rick. For some reason, Hick did not stick, but Dick did. Hence, Dick is now a nickname for Richard.

So I guess it's a steep pecker.

There is also a rumor of an antist by the same name who's recordings seem to surface twice a year commonly mothersday and Christmas.

You're quite right. My apologies, creamer! I shall remove my earlier post.
