ok ive answered my own question talked to someone that works for him and he said that fossickers/prospectors are welcome but no motorised equipment awesome !

I have been playing around in the public fossicking area by the Salisbury Bridge over the summer, theres always something there but very thin - think the boulders have flattened everything

I was in the area about 2 years back, catching possums. try looking up boulder creek. and also the slate . in the slate we were picking up little bits with our fingers after washing sand of e rocky banks. don't know weather its got a claim over it , check that out first. moonlight flat that's the place at the top end .
