hello all
i found a quartz rock out on the arrow last weekend, it had a rusty look to it so i took it home and crushed it with my pestle and mortar, then
panned it off and found these silver looking bits which where at the bottom of the pan. could it be silver or pyrites?

I would say defiantly Pyrite as their crystal structure looks extremely cubic. Silver rarely has a crystal structure and is normally like gold (blobs, wires etc).
