I visited Kohi beach after work last night to check out the shifting sands.
I spent an hour detecting at the digging end and another at the filling end and I can report
that so far there is no bonanza of finds available. I found $1.70, a penny and an Aussie 50c and
can confirm that the foil juice bottle seals have been moved from one end of the beach to the other.
At the dig end about 30cm to 50cm has been removed and my E Trac will look down another 30cm
so the finds outlook to date is not great. If they dig much deeper they will create a lagoon for the adjacent yacht club.

Here are some pics of the action.

Good luck.
MK

Did their detectors have adjustable length poles like yours has?*

At kohi I got 20c and a few bits of rubbish. At ladies about 4 bucks and a few 1 and 2 cent pieces but maybe 30 plus pulltabs theres so many junk signals esp on grass that I gave up. As for their adjustables I dont know the nudists went around the rocks after I pulled out my detector and lesche haha.. oh MK I went to ladies once before and found an nz 1939 3pence.. maybe more silver there?
