Morning events: Gold panning for the big nugget, vintage machinery displays and activities, children’s horse activities, stalls, historical talks and displays.

Afternoon events: Gold panning for the big nugget, horse races for adults, historical talks and displays, stalls, vintage machinery displays.

Would be a shame if the weather didn't play ball but Pelorus currently running @ 350 cumecs so god knows how high the Waka is... Might poke my head in to see whats what...

looks like the weather may not be so bad tomorrow so I hope some of you good fossickers can get along to Canvastown. I'm ff to Murchison for the long weekend darn it, otherwise I would be there.

I went and had a day out Canvastown. There was plenty of people about so it looked well attended. Had a drive up the Wakamarina, the organizers had information boards at the historical places, which was good. Nice day, thanks to all who were involved in setting the event up.

Pleased it was a good day. All wet and rainy in Murchison bit did manage to do a bit of crevicing ing in my favorite spot.
