Hey guys, this was my last weekend in Marlborough before I unfortunately have to move up to Auckland. For that reason I decided to give the gold one last good bash. I took another mate up with me and we gave an area a good going over for a couple of days. Same area that has produced my recent gold. All of the gold was detected. Also helped my mate detect his first piece of gold (0.25g) so he was stoked. Youtube video- https://www.youtube.com/...gg4&feature=youtu.be

Wow - you're on fire finding gold mate!

I was starting to get worried that you'd clean out the south island before I'd get a chance to find anymore. Thank god you're moving to Auckland!! :P

Nah, that sucks that we probably won't be seeing so much of your inspirational gold finds here on the forums :( Best of luck up north.

Sad to hear you have to go among the godless unwashed heathens of the north mate.

Now if you just pm me all your secret spots Ill make sure the South doesn't forget the hammer of the mighty Hatter! (",)

Overdog, the spots are called spot X #1, spot X #2 , spot X #3. Haha
Yeah its a bit of a shame having to go up there but I got a decent job offer so had to take it.
I will go give drunkbrother and his mates a bit of a stir up.

Have a good one

Nice finds there Matt. Well done. A good result before heading off to the big smoke. Auckland aye.... bummer....you poor bugger. I dont envy you at all. Good luck up there. You will have to meet up with Garry in Thames & get a gold fix in those winding Coro streams.

All the best

JW :)

Moving up north sucks Matt. I enjoy seeing and hearing your input here. Always good to see someone getting out there, exploring, and also finding gold.
I think most gold minded people are now not on this forum, well, not showing much on it anyway, which i understand.

Every now and then i have the urge to post video or whatever but its a bit risky down this way. find it a bit of a hassle trying to do closeup stuff only so as not to give away locations. and seeing as many people here know me and know some of my hangouts any recent postings highlight where i am lol.

i've just built a 6 inch dredge so maybe i will mount my go pro on that for next season. Everyone knows where the dredge is so no point hiding any footage lol. will just have to find some good gold next step!

Welcome to the north, Mathias, the land of no frosts, no sandflies, very little rain, snapper, and no gold claims.

Well at least there are several positive points in that statement!

Great finds there hatter...have say, will be missing your posts on this site!.
That creek you where in is certainly doing a lot of reef cutting by the amount of quarts shown.

Good luck up north
