I would like to buy a small water pump and I thought I could power it with a small weed eater motor. Trying to keep everything light for tramping into the bush.

How many litres per second are you planning, and how high are you planning to pump it? A weedeater motor wouldn't pump pussy, as my Mum would say.

What is your hypothesis for your theroy that a weed eater motor cann't pump pussy ? As a boat builder , a small 12 v 750 L.P.M. bulge pump can easily push water 3-4 m high.
