Got out for a play this weekend and did quite well, but brrr that water's still bloody cold! Think I'll be looking to invest in some waders as think I was starting to feel the effects of mild hyperthermia coming on standing up to my knees in water so long.

Yeah, that was with the Goldbug and 5" coil. All found on or in bedrock within a cm or two of the coil. Even found one on the moss, so must have been flicked up by the water recently.

Sweet. Im itching to get out nugget hunting with my new gold bug pro. Only been to areas with fine alluvial gold in gravel with no bedrock so havnt bothered taking it. One day.

I reckon I'll go back there. Think I milked it with detector through so probably time to don the wetsuit and have a snipe to see what I can find in the deeper parts :)
