Hello everyone.

just wondering if any one in the Waikato area has a detector I could use for a few days just to try would be more then happy to pay and would look after it. not really to fused on what make/model.

my budget to buy one would be around $1000 mark so something in that price range

thank you

No worries - A good bit of advice for anyone who is new to this and looking at buying a metal detector -

If you choose a detector that takes the 'greek style' coils from the very beginning you are going to be able to use those coils on quite a few different detectors -

i.e. Teknetics Alpha 2000 - Delta 4000 - Gamma 6000 - Omega 8000 - G2 - Eurotek Pro

as well as -

Fisher F5 - Gold Bug

so if you think you will end up buying in some extra coils for your unit, following one of the above units may help

hope this helps & good luck with your metal detector purchase - please keep us posted with how you get on

Keith

edit added -

Teknetics 'greek style' - Compatible Coils
5" Gold Bug Coil
5" F5 Coil
5" Teknetics Coil
8" Teknetics Coil
8" Eurotek-Pro Coil
10" Teknetics Coil
10" DD Teknetics Coil
11"DD F5 Coil
11"DD Gold Bug Coil
11"DD Teknetics Coil
11"DD Eurotek-Pro Coil
