Hi all. Very new to this - my husband brought me a Bounty Hunter IV for Christmas :-) Are there any recommended sites around Auckland that I could have a successful sweep?

Any beach is worth a try AngeNZ . Dig all the strong signals. You may dig a lot of junk but you have to start somewhere
and there will usually be some good stuff amongst it.

Any beach is worth a try AngeNZ . Dig all the strong signals. You may dig a lot of junk but you have to start somewhere
and there will usually be some good stuff amongst it.

Thank you :-) Had a little bit of luck. I've read that the black sand beaches aren't easy to find stuff with the magnetic sand. Is that true?

Yes that is right. The black iron sand sends most detectors in to overload or similar.
