Hi MSB, I guess its actual true worth is in the scrap gold content but of course there is the intrinsic value of its worth as a jewellery piece depending on its condition. Either way....nice find & glad to have been able to share that trademe link. Small world aye.

Yes. Sites like trademe are very useful - they help a lot when you're trying to not get ripped off by a dealer. In this case the dealer got it about right - retail $60 wholesale $40 - which shows he's trustworthy?
