Finally got around to making one of those PVC downpipe crevice suckers, posted by Kiwiwsouth about a month ago in the equipment light forum. So simple to make. Had to buy a one metre 8mm threaded rod to attach the tennis ball and the handle to. Cost about $8. Took it out for a try on Thursday and managed to find a speck or two.

Where did you go in the Coro to find all that? Or is that the total of your findings? I am from Auckland and make some trips to the thames and coro area but found nothing yet... Your stash is quite impressive.

Nice raw looking gold there! Thanks for sharing. Quite interesting to see the difference in gold that's found nearer the source.

Certainly quite different in appearance from the gold that has been washed down and polished in the rivers. Almost makes the South island stuff look boring.

I can see why Lammerlaw would be quite fascinated by the appearance of it under a good lens.

1.12g for 3 hours effort. Enough to buy a good feed of McDonalds.
