I was just wondering if there are any NZ agents out there selling quality waterproof pinpointers at a fair price. I would also consider a good second hand one if there is anyone wanting to sell there's?

Cheers

I'm hanging out for a decent rated IPx8 PP too.

Verging on hacking my old Garrett and rehousing in a custom pvc shroud with magnetic or tilt switching.

Ha ha...Ripped into the damn thing as soon as I'd posted that! Too impatient to wait.

Stage one: removed rubber switch cover and circuit board. Noted how much sand had found it's way inside - assume through LED port.
Silicone around LED and it's wee foam gasket, replaced into housing
Silicone in rubber button cover seat and replaced.
Thin neo gasket cut to fit cap
and a sniff of vacuum grease on thread, O ring and gasket surfaces.

It'll be doing half hour or so at 3m with me tomorrow - let you know :)
(It's freshwater, so no serious harm if it implodes)
