this is some of the gold i got panning at dansy's pass holiday park..small flakes but gold just the same...even my dog hunted for it..lol...my hole at the camp was about 2 foot deep at that stage..lol..it got deeper..and the flakes seem to get a bit bigger as i got further down.

it is a great place to stay for the whole family...there is the playgrounds and swimming hole for the kids and right down where you go to the swimming hole is where i do my panning..the longest i stay her at one time was for 4 weeks with my wife and dogs...she did the swimming i did the panning..lol..
and you have your choice on how you want to stay there..they have quit a few cabins on the upper part and down below where i stayed you have the tent and camper area for those that want to be right beside the river.

In my rush to find G as a newbie, i went out and got meself a new steel pan and a foldible shovel. Pan rusting in shed (not quite), Shovel, i use all the time. $39.00 I do not fold it, just stays ready. Its choice. Great on beachs, a blast. I soak it overnite in fresh water anytime its near saltwater. Everynite even just to be sure to safeguard from corosion. Notice the serated edge on the left side. There are two lots of serated edges, very very handy. Dont leave home without it. Happy huntin'
