Hi,
Has anyone tried detecting in the arrow river public area. I have heard its not so good due lots of false targets and problems with black sand. Am a total detecting greenhorn and any experience or advice appreciated. Am getting a goldbug2 for my bday soon and am keen to try it. :-)

There seems to be little gain from where the "Government" "allows" you to detect or otherwise other than for fun.

Government seems to be banning fun by allowing the small guys the pay day. They seem to leave that for their industrial "brown paper bag stuffed with money" brigades. :(
