Check out this amazing bargain

http://weihuameter.en.ma...Depth-Gold-Detector.html

Everything you could ever want: 6m depth, runs on AA batteries, finds everything, lasts forever.

Somebody else should buy one and tell us how it goes.

For more amazing bargains on Minelabe, Garratt, Commander coils etc. etc, (you think of it - they will already have made it) check out http://www.made-in-china.com/

An interesting advert as the English used is hardly the best and the heading does state 6m then the first few words mention 5m...in any case I would suggest that you buy one and use it accordingly then report in triplicate for all of us to read...compare it with Gold Bug and Minelab and Garrett.
I am not putting it down but I am reading between the lines and the lines in the claim of tasks it can handle do not make it any more special than any other detector and what exactly would need to be at five or six metres for it to detect - a one ounce nugget or a choo choo train!

The caption with the photo says 6m depth gold detector, so it must be true.

I stumbled across it while looking for some well tried and tested brands, with the capacity to locate gold up to maybe a foot at most.

I posted it just to yank somebody's chain.

The caption says 6 but the small print goes down to 5 does it not - in any case it does not tell you what it will detect at 6m!!! - therein lies the truth

GoldenGate Plus 3D - Nokta's New 3D Detector Made For The Average Detectorist
GoldenGate

GoldenGate PLUS 3D is easy to use with True 3D imaging discrimination and a built-in GPS. Another feature that comes with the GPS is TRACKING. D.I.S.S. Technology, which we have recently developed, is used in the GoldenGate PLUS 3D metal detector.

GoldenGate PLUS 3D discriminates the detected metal in 3 different groups as Gold/Non-Ferrous, Ferrous, Steel/Alloy and it provides the results to the user instantly. All these technologies are available in a metal detector collectively for the first time thanks to Nokta Engineering. The GoldenGate PLUS 3D metal detector, which features 10 language options, pre-defined search modes and personalizable themes, will enable their users to enjoy pleasant searches.

Check the web site for specs. Found the following,

(4) Sensitivity: Small coil: 25~30cm (test 25US cent)
Big coil: 35~40cm (test 25US cent)
(5) Max Detection: Small coil: 1.5~2 meters
Big coil: 3.0~5 meters
This conclusion is elicited by testing a aluminums sheet (60cm*60cm*1cm) buried in dry soil.

Wouldn't take much to pick that up no matter what detector was used.
