Hi All

Yep they did. I have today gained permission to detect on an Old Peoples home established in 1918, and run by Nuns in those old days.
Never been detected and I have sole rights to take my magic wand. Large grounds, history tells it has been the site of many picnic days and gala's and weddings over the years, dating from 1918 until today. Bet I get a few old timers coming out to help in the hunt. Well I will use my CTX3030 and the old bugga's can use my Gofind60. They are gunna have fun, as will I. Any finds relating to the history of the place will be donated back to the home, for display. Detector Interlopers will be shot at dawn. That's if they survive being attacked by a pack of old people armed with walking sticks and mobility scooters. Gunna be interesting to see what I find up there. And of course I'm an old bugga too, so I will blend in well.

Cheers Trev aka " The Hatter"

Best of luck there Hatter. Hope the ground is not to hard.

Just done 3.5 hour in the tide this morning, 6am start. 1 ring , 1 bangle, both s/silv and usual coins.

Had a little water issue on the USB cap last week but sorted now I think with MK's help.

Good luck

The date doesn't limit anything- I reckon you'll find something Victorian. I found a '22 commonwealth at a '50s house. You'll find yourself that cache of 24k gold rings.

Is that the same place you took me to look at on my first visit? We just drove through it. If so I reckon you will do well there. Lots of ground to cover. Good luck mate.

Good date, means that it is not an archaeological site in terms of the Act, ie not in excess of 100 years old, happy swinging there. You will prolly find more chicky babes there to help you than blokes. :-)
