looks like you had a good day out RioGold - well done

I was also wondering if I could use your untitled pic 9 on my website gallery?

One of the nicest pans of gold I have seen for a while - Cheers ;)

Awesome result, was down thay way recently and had 12 mile on our todo list, didn't do any good at Arrowtown so were more interested getting back over to the West Coast.
Will put back on the list looking at tht result.

Hi there goldsborough
it's a lovely place this time Queenstown (bit busy tho lol) and would recommend going and having a dig at 12 mile! there doesn't seem to be a lot of
ground on the down side of the highway but there is enough :)

regards Dave

Great pan there Dave, looks like you had a good dig in the creek. Love Queenstown but the traffic there is crazy

Yes it is!! 12mile creek u'll find yourself enough gold to keep you happy if you put in the hard yards and won't need be jumping on people claims !! It goes a wee way up ( to the first bridge as I recall) but why walk all that way when can do it right next to your tent!!

As far as I know that is a public fossiking area. If I've got the right 12 Mile Creek location that is.... Permit 42020...

topomaps.co.nz pointed me to Ox Burn AKA Twelve Mile Creek.

Twelve Mile Creek fossicking area is also known as Few Creek!!

Confusing as hell, and not the first time names are reused in South, another thing to keep in mind many old mines shared the same names.
Moonlight Creek Queenstown, Moonlight Creek West Coast!!!

I haven't even started!
Have to make a giant 107 tooth cog for my dynamo. I'm currently on my fourth test cog (I'm no engineer).
Think I'll be staying down there until JULY, might be cold. But hopefully no one else around.
