No hunting last weekend but son went out one night last week for an hour to alittle spot we have nicknamed "silver alley" and found our 3rd half crown in six days.

Superb, I'm sure 'silver alley' will give a little more yet! Even when you think you have cleaned it out, have a revisit in the winter when the ground is saturated and you should get a little more depth along with more targets.

Thanks for that, still to try wet ground hunting, but will do and think we will be back at the "alley" quite a bit.

half crowns are a great coin to find, big lump of shiny silver " Arold " will be pleased.
