Another nice day out detecting, 72 coins all up plus a ring and nice braclett. Our 5th half crown and our 51st silver, heading for 100 this year. Still no gold, but working on it.

I'm jealous of everyone who is out hunting right now, wish I had more time at the moment.
I've been doing some historical research so hopefully I'll have a payday soon.

Looks like a dog collar to me, what metal is the name plate?
Just curious are you at the usual locations, or somewhere new?
Also could you put up a running count in your signature, I'd love to see it (as I'm sure others would)?

We did alittle research and found a person with the same last name on the braclet that lives in the same town so we rang and it turns out the braclet was his brothers. Their mother gave her two sons a braclet each and both were lost over 40 years ago. We are going to return this one to the family. A good result

Went for a hunt for an hour or so today to a very public domain I went to the other day on which I came across alittle patch of "virgin ground". Was only there 20 mins the other day and found 7 coins, no silver but could tell it hadnt been hunted. This is my finds from from there today and 3 nice silvers to keep the tally going. 1933 threepence, 1918 english shilling and 1925 aussie shilling, plus a nice army hat badge. As for a running tally, we will have to work on it as we have found well over 500 coins and has kind of lost count of some of it. We do know its now 54 silvers, over $100 spendables(which goes into grand daughters bank) 4 silver rings, 3 silver bracklets or bangles, 4 watches(or part thereof). We dont go anywhere secret, all very open public places, but have been lucky to come across little untouched patches, although I did remember one little now very unused play ground from my childhood and have found over 100 coins on it.

Nice one, you're certainly pulling your weight for a new member, or perhaps it is your tenaciousness & locations no one has done yet/well.
