Hi all, new to this game and getting dragged along by my sons (~<10yo) who appears to have been bitten with a bug.

We are north island based and looking for somewhere in the coromandel we can go have a play with some pans. I realise there are no public fossicking areas but hoping that we an find either a sympathetic land owner or a public location where nobody will get upset with a couple of young kids having a play panning and peering in crevices.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
