hi fromoz, beaches sanded in still had the urge tofind something so i gave the ctx an airing headed out to a decent size park and came up with 12 bucks and some jewelry dont know what the stone is in the ring but my guess would be synthetic,still gold is gold and ill take it any day,good luck

Those are all very nice pieces, I particularly like that blue stone - any idea what it is?

As for the other, you can get Diamond testers for about $20 on trademe, they'll give you some idea if it is corundum, topaz, zircon too.

Our far north beaches are still sanded in, gets the mind going as where else to hunt.

gday creamer,had one or two storms go thro' but all its done is dump sand from the top of the beach to the swimming areas will take weeks to clear did find plenty of coin at the top untill the dozas pushed it back up. cheers.
