just spotted this nugget on trade me. drew my eye. seen some well priced nuggets over the years but this one takes it. got a bad feeling the owner must have paid way too much for it in the first place.

My brother was at shanty town recently and there was a nugget for sale there that he guessed at 4-6g and it had a price tag of $1500 on it. Crazy. but there might just be a sucker out there...

well, it looks like the heat has seen the auction removed, thus removing all the comments. a new auction is up with a lower price. just $6k now ahaha.

But there's a website selling equally overpriced nuggets so it must be worth that amount. 😭

If the website is indeed SELLING nuggets at that price then there must be a market for expensive gold. Market sets the price....

Went into the Gold Shop a few days ago,as I recall they had about one ounce nugget for about $10.000. They had lots of small nuggets at several times the gold price.

If you price a nugget 3 to 4 times what it's worth, better the chances you get what it's actually worth or more when it sells, if initially priced for what it's worth you will most likely get much less than what it's worth, a common salesman ploy.
