and

I just bought my new Garrett detector from the Tactical guys.
Ryan is the man to talk to. Great deal, I'm very pleased.
I'm a newbie to this forum myself, but used to pan and use a sluice many years ago when the deer hunting was a bit slow.
Cheers.

Thanx KGBee!
I but them on my list. Still so much to sort out. Trying to be prepared when we go to NZ. (Also need a cheap car etc etc etc.)
Deer hunting? Never done something like that. But fishing in NZ would be nice as well for me. :-)
Grz,
Reg

Hi Reg.
You're welcome.
I used to fly fish (a LOT!!), but failing eyesight, and a dodgy casting arm (old age, probably worn out now) finally made me quit.
I was a Canterbury lad, but live in Nelson area (Richmond) now.
Maybe keep us posted on this forum and when you get to this area we must have a wee meet.
Can put you onto a few fishing spots anyway.

Hi KGBee,
Just one's I tried fly fishing. In Holland it is not popular (also we do not have the right fish for it). I liked it a lot, hope to learn it in NZ!
Hope to meet you!
Grz,
Reg
