After seeing that program on the asteroid hunters and their cool metal detectors/methods etc, I was wondering if anyone had found one in N.Z.?

There's a couple in the Museum, IIRC. I was busy radiating my testicles with the Buller uranium sample and wondering why I forgot it was there and hence didn't take my radiation detector in to test it out.

I meant Meteorites....I got confused as my son said the program was called Asteroid Men or something. Knowing how much attention he pays, I assume it was Meteorite Men

Its a great show. Metal detectors are used to find meteorites. (as an asteroid would not be so hard to find...). They tow giant coils around the desert with a four wheel drive. The coils are made of pvc pipe and wire.
