Hi all, Received my brand new Garrett Pro Pointer today from the US. Bought it through a reputable large US tool company (not Garrett themselves) and payed $125.00 USD with $10.00 USD postage. Currency conversion at the time meant that I paid $165.50 NZD all up including battery and pouch. Took just on one week to arrive. I think I scored a pretty sweet deal........ Can't wait to get out there and use it!

Dubdubdubdotpredatortoolsdotcom. About halfway down their page they have a limited time offer still running. It says $127.70 but when you click on the Paypal payment method, it comes through at $125.00. I queried this with Predator but they said $125 is correct. They also quoted me $12.00 postage but I paid $10.00 as is loaded against the Paypal total and was not questioned.
Also, they have a deal going that if you purchase a tool of any type with the Pointer, you get the postage refunded on the pointer. I investigated this, however getting the Lesche tool through customs would end up costing more than getting one here.........so the deal is not really a viable option.

A good choice

Once you've used one for a while, you'll wonder why you didn't get one sooner. It would be interesting to hear from anyone who gets a Minelab.

I'm with you guys. I don't go detecting without mine. What's the issue with getting the lesche m85 through your customs? I bring heaps through Aussie customs all the time, ocaasionally they will open it, but with "digging tool only" stamped on it they let it through.

Got out this morning at dawn for a hunt with my newest toy, the Pro Pointer..........everything I have ever heard about these units is completely true.............Absolutely brilliant!!!
This cool little unit saves soooo much time. No more mucking around in the hole hoping to catch a glimpse the item. No more wasted time, waving ever-hopeful handfuls of dirt in front of the coil.
Apart from the detector itself, this would have to be the most valuable tool to the detectorist. If you don't have a pointer, you REALLY should get one!..........To sum it up in one word........"Essential".

Hi Number8wire

I have been trying to a Pro Pointer this week, but Pamela Lesche have refunded my Paypal account saying they don't ship internationally. I have set up a NZ post Youshop account but are having trouble linking the three togeather ? I have never used Paypal or Youshop before.

Any help would be much appreciated Thanks
