Can anyone recommend to me the type of pump used for a recirculating sluice to be used at home? I'm going to use my keene A52 sluice and will be putting 1/2 inch screened paydirt thru it. I've seen a few clips on you tube, but none of the ones i've seen state whether they use a bilge pump or one with a float valve etc. From what i understand i need to get one with a pump rate of 1700gph. So if anyone can help me with this, it would be appreciated as i don't know feck all about water pumps. Also if you could recommend a cost effective one would be appreciated as i don't have alot of $ to throw at this.

Thanks guys :)

Sorry Craig, haven't got the first clue about recirc. Bilge pump? Half inch concentrate sounds a bit meaty-I would think the more you classify down the less water you would have to move?
You going for real fine gold?

Hi Alan, yeah i know half inch material is a bit rough but I only have that size classifyer, looks like i'll have to get another one.......

As far as real fine gold goes, not specificly but if it catches it. yep.

I was thinking if it's a good size pump it would have less chance of blocking up/clogging with material, like i said i don't know feck all
about pumps.
