Ok so I bought this off Trademe a week ago and it arrived today. I took a chance with this considering these machines stopped being made over a decade ago.
By all accounts (based on some online research) this "detector" is very good.
This supposedly is used in conjunction with a metal detector. Once a target has been detected, the Periscope probe is used to plunge into the ground to identify if the target is worthy of digging. It also will determine how close you are to the target by way of tone speed. Much like a standard pin pointer I guess.
The probe is 14 inches long.
This is as new as it's NEVER seen the light of day. Still wrapped in plastic. Even the VHS (lol) instructional video is still wrapped in plastic.
I am very interested to know if any of you have any knowledge, experience... Or even comments on this interesting piece of detecting kit.
I don't know whether to open it up and use it or maybe look to sell it on EBay and make a bit of $$$ on it.
Help!

Cheers MK

Would have been a few more if Dale wasn't on the same beach as me! ;)

I'm starting to think he plants rings just so he can dig them up in front of me! ;)

I am very keen to try this new toy as all the research online suggests it's actually very good.
We will see I suppose.

Kyle!

Low tide is around 6pm tonight...I reckon you should take that to the beach and hammer it in a few times with your rings attached to your fingers :) I can then look for the perfect holes in the ground...scan around and increase the ring count!

;)

Still sitting in the box unused. I am still considering if I want to actually use it or not. I probably will but I don't have a land detector yet. Just the two beach machines.
Once I get my F75 I will no doubt give it a go.

Kyle - I wonder of the OTT should be posted in the Alien Encounter Forum :) Should take it to the beach and give it a try and see if the thing actually works. 8 inch coil arrives today - should try a local beach
