My name is Steve and I have been detecting for the past 25 years, first detector used was a Minelab XT17000 & two years ago I purchased a GPX5000my wife loves the relics and uses a Minelab XTERRA505 and also uses a GPX4000. We both love getting out most weekends for the hunt, I have visited the south island @ Queenstown and prospected nearby. I also had some clients on the North island who we visited a few times and would love to get back for some relic hunting soon. Well I could babble on for hours but I will keep you all informed on any new finds we come across. Cheers

Not sure about Gaurdian's comment about "oh great a gloater". Hope you dont take offence to that & stick around & share your adventures & finds with us. You have posted on what a member of ours (Hatter) calls the "Dark Side". LOL :) That being on the page of Metal Detecting (coins, relics, etc) as opposed to the "other side" being Gold Prospecting & Fossicking. Just a tip for when posting what you post as there are the two different pages, one for GOLD & the Dark Side for coins relics etc. Too those of you on the Metal Detecting (coins, relics etc) page, please dont take offence to the Dark Side comments. Just a bit of fun & I liked Hatter tagging & calling it that. LOL :) I for one, & there may be others, dont check the dark side often as my interest is the gold detecting & fossicking side. So if you post gold related matter, & I hope you do as that side needs a good injection, then please post it there. So again, welcome to the forum rockdocta & give us what you got. Cheers.
