Hey guys, Im getting back into it again...now have an At Pro and quite a few things to tick off the wish list.
It's a bit lonely at times going out by myself so if anyone is keen on a hunt together, just let me know on here or txt 022 3825606. I have transport. Anytime, day or night is fine by me, weather permitting.

Coming into silly season up here, the suns shining so people come out of the wood work.
I haven't been out detecting much as me ol van hasn't been up to the challenge. Got it sorted last week so i'm keen to get out more. With all the sov action of late i'm thinking of where one can be, as are we all.

lol know how you feel, finding that undetected we patch of area is getting far and few between...I do however have just landed a great permission here in chch and may need a few fellow detectorists to help, the land owner has requested they want to keep any relics relevant to the area such as tools, tins etc, but happy for me to keep coins and things.

Sounds like great fun. Id be keen. Well have to keep an eye on number 8 gold magnet tho lol. Mind you persistence pays and you don't find much if you aren't out there doin it. When are you thinking you will hit this spot x??

Yeah sounds good to me too. I'm keen. I've been struggling to find areas nearish to me that I havnt already tried. I've been looking at some red zone land in spots that may be promising though.

We coming up to do a North Island trip at Xmasish time Shane so would be cool to catch up with you for some info on nice spots to visit.

I was thinking maybe next weekend as the weather is supposed to be rubbish over the long weekend, be prepared though, there will be a bit of walking involved, the contact will show me the sites of where the cob cottages were, he told me after the big rain we had a while back that he found a bottle dump and a complete torpedo bottle, so there is hope, but prepared not to find much and then you probably will...call it the sovereign theory lol

Sorry to those who were keen to go, turned out the guy made the historical society aware of what he had found already and they want to assess the area before anymore detecting happens.
Did try, but would be cool to have a bit of a get together.
