NZ Detecting Championships

My hope is that this first go will be a success and that there will be enough interest to carry it on in the future. I would like someone to do one on the North Island next year. Wouldn't mind heading up there and doing some of that famous beach detecting. More dealers participating would be better all around, but I haven't even tried to contact any of them This is a little bit of an experiment and I am hoping to get some feedback on how to improve it for future events. Still, I think it will be a lot of fun this year. -Robert

Im keen as to come down there but its a long way from Christchurch if there aint many attending. Im also happy to take anyone else who needs a lift. Planning on heading away late Friday arvo and coming back sunday lunchtime. Might go and drop the sluice in at gabs gully fossicking area on sunday morning. Does the camp ground shut its gates at a particular time at night??
