The only silver is the bent butterfly ring. I have only found one silver six pence in this area and it was mixed in with some decimal. I have found a dozen or so pennies, but I am thinking the area was not used much in the silver coin days.

I don't know where you are looking, but the amount of stuff you are hauling from the ground should inspire others to have a crack at it.

Thanks and well done.,

Yeah, that was all today, $64 in gold coins. I have been going to the local rodeo grounds which apparently had never been detected before because I have been doing really well. Unfortunately I have now gotten through the best of it and am working the parking areas etc which seem to have more junk and less coins.

Good day today. Found my second only gold ring. 18ct plain ring. Found among a patch of old three pence coins, florins, half pennies, shillings, pennies. I'm thinking its been there a while so its a keeper. It'll go my treasure box. Maybe it'll go towards a PI machine so I can search in the hills for a nugget or two. Good old beaches eh. I have it sitting on a 440 gram piece of misshappen brass I found on the beach last night. Looks like a nugget eh? Think I'll keep it as a paperweight.

Great find - I wonder what excuse the woman who lost the wedding ring said to her husband when she got home - after all it was common practice for a person to take their wedding ring off when they were meeting others for nefarious purposes in parks, sandhills and other secret places to hide the fact that they were married.

Good hunk of brass as well - put it on EBay - relic from the brass propellor of the Titanic!
