Hi guys,

I have a question regarding VLF metal detectors:

I already purchased a VLF metal with a 200mm concentric coil. Just wanted to know if it is possible to change the coil to a bigger size for deeper detection depth?

I have done some research and some websites suggest that you can change coils, but can you use any VLF coil interchangeably?

Really appreciate the help
Thanks

OK in response to your first question regarding using another coil on your detector - As it is not your usual run of the mill make (entry level Chinese detector), I dont think they have a selection of coils for your model but more importantly, you should weigh up if its actually worth investing more money into such a limited unit & enjoy/learn it for now. When you are looking at going deeper, then you cant go wrong with the Fisher F2 or something similar as they allow you the option to choose from a selection of coils -

No disrespect to your metal detector either as there are some very good Chinese made metal detectors out there -

I hope this helps -
