nutha hours detecting whilst running the mighty hound dogs...didn't think much of the small badg till I got home and googled it...turns out to be very cool and given by the King of Belgium.

Not to be a buzz kill, but I don't think what you found is the actual medal, could be wrong, but it looks like a reproduction. I have found several medals that were probably carnival prizes and I think that is what you have. Looking at the pictures it appears to me to be a copy. The ones I found had nothing but a matt surface on the back, the order of the crown has a back very similar tot he front.

cool find, even if a fake. Do you guys have display board for showing your cool finds like that? Here's mine. I haven't got any coins in it at present, only everything else curious.
